This course is designed to enable learners of English to discover the learning strategies that suit them best, so that they can learn more effectively. It is most appropriate for use at lower-intermediate to intermediate level, but can be adapted for a range of levels and ages. Stage 1 focuses on expectations, leraning styles, needs, organisation and motivation, wuth a section on using a self-access centre. In Stage 2, learners find out more about themselves as language learners and about English. They learn how to assess themselves and set short-term aims, explore a variety of different learning strategies, build up their confidence and find out how to organise their learning effectively.
