National Sanctuary of Aparecida, one of the largest and most beautiful Catholic churches in the world, can be enjoyed through the lens of the renowned Brazilian photographer, Fabio Colombini. The Basilica of Our Lady Aparecida, under construction for over 50 years, is the fruit of the theophanic manifestation in the tiny clay statue found by fishermen in the Paraiba do Sul River. It is the place from which, ever since 1717, miracles and more miracles continue to strengthen the faith of the Brazilian people. The Basilica itself, providentially built through Catholic generosity, is gradually being transformed into a beautiful monument, sign of the beauty of the Christian faith and of the nation born under this same sign.In this book we find the architecture of Benedito Calixto de Jesus Neto, the artwork and stained glass windows of ClÃudio Pastro.
